I think it is funny how many scouts (probably all of them) never thought Trout would hit for much power. The guy might just be one of the top 5 strongest guys in the game, and by every statistical measure he is one of the game's best power hitters.

He won MVP in a down year after put up arguably his worst season of his career. I don't see how that qualifies as a "season for the ages". Off the top of my head the 2012 seasons for both Trout and Cabrera were more epic

Agree with this.  Also I am a bit worried about his 2015.  His slash line after the AS was just ok as far as Trout standards go.  257/347/502

IMO, Trout has the power that he has because he's just that talented. 

 

The greatest players of all time do unexpected things. Like hit 35+ HR's when nobody thought they ever would.

That's because Trout's inability to hit a high fastball, If Trout can learn how to hit a high fastball, he will do much better next season.
