It was speculated on MLB Network that it could even mean a minor league franchise in Cuba.

 

As for normalization of relations and Cuban players being considered the same way as other Latin American ballplayers, it's been a long time coming. The embargo hasn't really served any real purpose for quite some time now.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Hopefully the pride of craftsmanship will outweigh the capital incentives.

well, yeah, let's not get political but a military air base for the US in Cuba would have what we should have held out for..........oh well.

When I first started watching baseball growing up in Jacksonville, we had a AAA team in the International League. That team was moved from Havana when the revolution took place.
