I keep reading that we should trade for Mookie Betts

Now I do not follow baseball outside of the Angels organization to the extent that many on here do. So when I look at a guy like Betts and see that he had a .800+ OPS as a 21 year old, my first questions is: Why the hell would the Red Sox want to trade Mookie Betts?  My next question is why the hell would the Red Sox want to trade Mookie Betts?

It won't happen but he would look good leading off in our lineup

Plus, who knows what we'd have to give up.

More wishful thinking than anything.  There's pretty much zero incentive for Boston to move him unless the return is massive.

There's no way, from what I've heard they don't even wanna include him in a Hamels deal.

The rumor is that the issue is the Red Sux being loaded in the OF and at 2B, his main positions.

Wonder though if he could play 3B?   Then again, that is covered here for this season at least.
