Haren as a 4th or 5th starter?

Hearing that the Dodgers will pay Haren's $10mil salary.  So if Marlins get a "free pitcher" and he only wants to play in SoCal, then maybe we can trade a low level prospect for him and have him as 4th or 5th starter.  Now this only suits me if we trade Wilson.  I think Haren is an upgrade from Haren, but not much.

That was before the report of Dodgers paying his $10 mil salary. So he's a free pitcher to the Marlins.  Though the Dodgers will probably put something in the deal that he can't be traded prior to the season.

We squeezed the last bit of usefulness out of his arm years ago.

I'd say he has more left in the tank, and is more promising than CJ.

Yes.

People don't wanna spend money but want top tier guys.

Haren is serviceable and effective. He will add major league depth and not force guys to start who aren't ready
