At this point I still think cubs finish below .500.  They are still a year or two away.

They'll need some things to break right to contend for a wildcard, but it wouldn't surprise me. Their rotation is pretty solid right now with Lester, Arrieta, Hammel, and Hendricks. Offense has the potential to be good but again...the young guys have to take a step forward. Not sure about their bullpen, I think they could use another good RP there

 

They're definitely moving in the right direction. Soler, Bryant, Castro, Rizzo, Montero, Alcantara, Baez....that's a lot of fire power

Ya, the Cubs could be really good in 2 years, but that's not our problem to worry about................

 

I am happy that both Chicago teams are getting better, I am sick and tired to see both Tigers and Cards cakewalk their way to the playoff every year.

sucks to be the Red Sox, I have to imagine signing Lester was a big part of their offseason plans. Their SP is a mess.

I recall reading all of the know-it-alls saying that Lester was coming back to Boston when the trade to Oakland happened. It was all but a formality.
