You're forgetting they have Joe Maddon at the helm. Joe is a 10 WAR manager.

How do you figure? They are loaded with young hitting talent, and now have the beginning of a very respectable rotation (Lester, Arieta, Hammel). Like every team they have their question marks, but they are probably one starting pitcher and the emergence of guys like Bryant/Baez away from being competitive. Remember, just two years ago the pirates and royals sucked, and look at their turnarounds.
