I agree with you totally. My point being is the Angels signed him based on his past accomplishments. This tells us what he's capable of producing offensively.

He may never produce those type of numbers again. Yet, he's still young enough to get close to his past accomplishments. It wouldn't be the first time in a player rebounded in sports. I think the fact that he's been there and still young will work in his favor.

If he could only put up a solid set of numbers in 2015 and the first half of 2016.

Then he is only owed some $42 million by late July 2016 when the trading has heated up.

Maybe then we would only have to pony up about $25-$30 million as part of a trade.
