And, Marty is about to sign with the Blues!?  What the ?!?!

yeah, saw that about marty. seems weird after making a big deal about ending his devils career last spring. but then again, he never really announced  he was retiring, did he?

Just going to be weird seeing him in a different uni.  While it won't tarnish his legacy.  You just won't be able to lump him in with greats playing for one team.  Which is a shame.

Marty got stuck in no man's land.

 

He wanted to be more than a backup, and less than a starter.

 

Very hard to find that combo in the salary cap conscious NHL. He was still working out with the Devils until recently.

I believe Lou Lamoriello has stated that Marty will have a home in the Devils' front office whenever he retires. I like that he's taking a final shot at chasing another Cup.
