Has anyone been watching this?  My wife and I are hooked.  It's 7 episodes in of a 10 episode series.  It stars Anna Gunn as a detective in a NorCal coastal town investigating a boy's mysterious murder.  It reminds me very much of the first season (installment?) of The Killing

If it's anything like The Killing...you won't find out who did it until 2018 after having the rug pulled out from you 50 times...and then you'll hate yourself for watching.

For those that also watched Broadchurch on BBC America, how similar is it?  I read that they were changing it up some, but didn't really want to watch it "again".

from the description,  Broadchurch was the first show that came to mind. Is it a remake?

Yes.  The male detective is even played by the same actor.  I'm pretty sure that I read that the pilot would be the same, but the story would take a different shape, including who the killer would ultimately be.

I watched the first two episodes of Gracepoint after seeing all of Broadchurch. It was almost a shot-for-shot remake. Maybe the two storylines diverged later on.

Damn. I actually feel fulfilled after a mini series. Didnt end how I wanted, but was more than enough
