PepsiCo confirms Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew is real

 

At first thought, it's almost too weird to believe, but it's true: Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew is a real thing.

 

A picture of the strange orange-colored brew, named Dewitos, began making Internet rounds Friday.  While many immediately cried hoax, PepsiCo later confirmed its authenticity.

 

"We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us," a representative from PepsiCo stated to Quartz.

 

"We opened up the DEW flavor vault, and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities."

Wait, you quit the Dew?  Was it in October, because I see Pepsico saw a huge drop in stock price that was unexplainable.

yep, had to quit because of my kidney stones - doc told me no more soda, period. haven't had a dew since the end of july, therefore i'm not responsible for the stock price drop.

Pretty sure that you would make your own Dewitos by pouring the soda through a batch of chips in a strainer. By using a blender he introduced corn into the final product.
