Have you looked at his last 4 seasons? Besides his giant 2013 campaign in which he played 86 games he's been below average to say the least.

meh.  there are no real difference makers in this F/A class and even if there were, I would not be in favor of signing them simply due to the team's track record.  I would certainly like us to upgrade 3B but I just don't see that happening.

Hanley Ramirez screams disaster for me. He's been had varied results the last few years(meh year in 2012, monster 2013 year but dealt with tons of injuries, good but not great 2014). He can't play SS anymore and I still don't think he'd be better than average at 3B. He's definitely going to keep hitting for the next 2-3 years but the overall package isn't appealing. 

 

Considering he's going to get something in the 5-6 year 90-120 million dollar range, I'd be very hesitant if I was a GM signing this guy.
