Hey Chuck and board:

 

How about naming the annual spring fanfest the "Mike Sword Memorial Annual Squintfest"?

 

You could raise money for cancer research.

mt, I do love the idea of changing the name to honor Percy, I also love the idea of raising money for cancer, but I do have an issue with adding a third charity for the event. I would have no problem if we decided that Spring Training will be our time to raise money for Cancer research. Then maybe Summer Fanfest we raise money for the Miracle League and RBI, but adding a third to Spring would somewhat dilute the fundraising and somewhat complicate the process. I know Chuck wants to talk about this a bit with the board and mods, and I will share this with his then as well. I believe we find the one thing that Percy was best known for, and I think that would be Spring Fanfest, and we make that about Cancer Research. Then Softball we can make about Miracle League then RBI we can take care of through the golf tourney. Those are just my initial thoughts, and I could be swayed if someone brought up points that made sense to me.

No, and that is fine.  I was just reading that squintfest thread that mancini posted earlier and it just gave me the idea for the name.  I know having too many charities spreads everything too thin.  Whatever you guys decide.
