Sorry Tank, I'm a fiscal conservative. I really don't believe that anyone deserves the land deal that Arte is seeking from the tax payers of Anaheim. It's just my opinion and not meant to be personal.

What Arte is proposing will raise lots of cash for the city anyway.  Sounds like the whole reason it hasn't happened yet is because Tait gets kicked in the taint by the deal.

If Tait has a vested interest in a Tustin deal why in the world would Arte Moreno tell everyone that he's interested in moving the Angels to Tustin? It makes him look stupid or he's just blowing smoke. He's blowing smoke and today's election has a lot to do with the future of that land deal in Anaheim.

If Tait gets re-elected today the voters will have spoken and it will send a message to the rest of the City Council. If this happens watch how quickly they all backpedal.

Yes I think that the Anaheim voters will show up because of that land issue. Arte should've kept to his word in the first agreement and fixed the stadium.

If Tait wins it is because he is the incumbant and voters are stupid and lazy.  Not to say that whoever is running against him would be any better.  But the fact that he has a personal, financial stake in the whole deal, both in Anaheim and Tustin shows how dirty that guy is and should show the voters he is in no way qualified to be leading the way in that issue.

Yeah the Mayoral race will be ignored by most of the population.  They will just check off whoever they recognize or have the right letter next to their name.

That's my point.  Ask the typical voter leaving the polling place.  Why did you vote for _____?  I doubt very much they say "because of their position on the stadium land deal".

It brings up an interesting theory though.  If Arte really felt Tait was the one holding him back you would think that he would dip into his wealth or the Angels wealth and form a PAC to support Tait's opposition.
