I didn't say these people were Latino, nor any other specific ethnicity. They could be Italian, for all I know. I simply expressed my opinion that it is ridiculous that so many people refuse to learn the language necessary for them to succeed/improve here in the U.S.

My friend took it in Long Beach next to where she works. I think it was a carniceria.

 

She got the racial blowback on her FB page even though she is half Mexican, and of course it was only the Hispanic race that mentioned anything about race or racism.

 

I personally enjoy poor grammar in any dialect or language.

You might believe I was implying the author was Latino, but I never said that. And I don't know enough about other languages to be able to read the sign and guess the native language of its author.

I previously did not care whether or not people learned English. Now, however, I believe people who don't assimilate, regardless of their origin, become dependents of the state. And I'd rather not pay taxes to support them.

yeah, i was just giving you a hard time. Seeing how there are many more English speakers that are dependent on the government,  i don't lose sleep over it

What nominal English speakers hear when they listen to spoken English. My daughter didn't start speaking English regularly until she was 6 and it's been fun watching her try to decipher things.
