IGNORED

Yep, this is how our government works

It seems like the rest of the political realm has degenerated, so why not lobbying? We have an election coming up, and at least half of the ads are dirt on opponents rather than why I should actually vote for somebody. The Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor races have been the worst, although in recent days I have seen ads against my current Congressman, Steven Horsford.

Our Governor race is a non-race. Governor Brian Sandoval has only token opposition on the Democratic side and I will be surprised if he gets less than 90 percent of the vote. I have yet to see an ad for his Democratic opponent, just a few for the Governor.

I voted for him four years ago (Harry Reid's son Rory was his opponent, and I could only stomach voting for one Reid - Sharron Angle detemined which one), and I believe that overall he has done a decent job.

People still like Walker in your state?

Amazingly yes.  They aren't huge fans of his buddy Paul Ryan though.

The problem is that the person running against him is an uber liberal chick who never had an original thought in her life.

our governor's race has been a non-event. governor moonbeam still hasn't run a re-election ad on tv, and i still haven't seen a brown or kashkari for governor poster or billboard.

the ads for/against the props are really heating up, however.

We have one proposition that seems destined to fail. Proposition 3 would place a tax on the gross revenues of any business with more than $1M of revenue. Even some groups who originally supported it, after thinking it through now oppose it. Many have pointed out that a business with a thin margin can have $1M in sales but so much outlay that the tax would wipe out any profit they made. It would be a killer for small businesses like restaurants.
