We had a blast on Saturday. If you've not been before I strongly recommend going in two years when it is back at Santa Anita. 

 

After cashing a couple smallish tickets early, it was a day of oh-so-close-calls. I play a lot of wheel trifectas, usually keying the winner over 3 and those 3 with an additional 2-4 horses for 3rd. There were 3 races in which I just missed the tri by a nose or a head.

 

In the classic, I had a $10 exacta 6,13/5,6,7,9,13. Missed that by about half a head. Thought Chrome was going to get him. So close.

 

Either that was the shadiest shit by the stewards in the biggest race of the year or a really bad rule, but there is no way Bayern shouldn't have been taken down. He took out half of the field in the first second of the race.

I especially like the part of there were two fouls committed, but we only decided to focus on one.  

 

Also took 2 pictures early on Sunday.  They are big picts, but i think are kind of nice of santa anita with the mountains in the background.  The second picture is nicer if you you have 360 view.
