If you don't think this is anything but ethnic replacement, you have your head in the sand. This isn't our country anymore. We are going to end up like the white people of Brazil and Colombia. USA will be a third world country in less than 50 years.

The "white people" of Brazil and Colombia have never had a majority. Especially in Brazil.

And the USA may well be a "third world" country in 50 years, but it's not because of this ethnicity or that ethnicity. It's because wealth is becoming more and more concentrated, which is definitely something you see in the "third world".

Part of the reason wealth is more and more concentrated is of the influx of cheap labor into the country and our inability to help neighbors to the south make their own countries more equitable.

I'm all for helping our neighbors to the south make their countries more equitable, but there are many reasons why it hasn't happened, including ingrained institutional corruption, multinationals, our interference (intelligence & military).

However, the undocumented workers have historically done the jobs that many Anglo-Americans feel are beneath them (possibly because some of those jobs used to be done by slaves, then by sharecroppers and domestic servants). They are not why there is growing inequality. The reason why there is growing inequality is pure and simple greed.

Perhaps, but we could make it much, much harder instead of it being a toll free highway.

It doesn't matter. You can stop people from entering the country and corporations would still outsource what jobs they can to India, the Philippines, etc.

BTW, am I the only one who thinks that the OP estimate of "up to 34 million" is just a tad high? The largest number that I have ever heard when connected to undocumented workers is 12 million. Even if you assume a margin of error of 25%, that still is only 15 million.
