I found it interesting that before the season we were told how Baylor hates strikeouts and his main focus was to cut down on the number of swings and misses.

And then this season the strikeout numbers skyrocketed

Except for Howie. His K rate was the lowest it's been since 2010.

 

Solution: Find more black guys.

Trout striking out to end the 2014 season is emblematic of Baylor's success as hitting coach.

 

Well at least he didn't break his leg doing it.

Roughly 50 of those strike outs were Mike Trout. So besides Trout it was an increase of 30 or one every five or so games.
