The Pretender is one of my favorite songs by them, the build up is only about 30 seconds in that song.

Just listened to "Something From Nothing" on spotify

 

It was good. I wasn't blown away, but I might need to listen to it a couple more times to appreciate it more.

Saw them at House of Blues in Anaheim for a benefit show. It was outstanding. I touched Dave. I haven't bathed since.

Did anybody watch the first episode of the HBO series that Grohl and the Foo Fighters are doing? I thought it was excellent. Gave a great background into the music history of Chicago, inspirations from that city, and the recording process of the song that Grohl wrote (Something from Nothing) in Chicago.

 

Can't wait for next weeks' episode.

KROQ is playing it twice an hour.  Now that I have listened to it a few times, I am a huge fan.

 

I just watched the show, it was ****ing badass.  I am such a huge fan of all the music that was featured, I could have watched hours of it.

That was great stuff! I am that much more intrigued to hear the rest of the music from all of the different cities as well as how they come together. Watching a song come together from beginning to end was absolutely badass!

Yeah, that is the idea.  The album releases when the series concludes.
