It is proof positive though of how important a strong 7-8-9 innings bullpen is in the post-season.

Without K-Rod/Donkey/Percy in 2002, we don't win a WS title. 

Herrera/Davis/Holland in 2014 have been about as good as any 7-8-9 has ever been in a season.

 

We are getting there.   I still think Rasmus will ultimately become a great 8th inning guy, similar to but not exactly like Davis due to being a fellow former starter with 4 different pitches.

I can see Rasmus/Smith/Street being the 2015 guys.
