The cool thing here, with KC ultimately losing this game late in heartbreaking fashion, is the Orioles should have some confidence heading into tomorrow, while the Royals will be down and kicking themselves for blowing Game 4. O's take it in easy fashion tomorrow. Then, they go home with new life to an energetic Camden Yards. Sets up perfectly.

They are going to host the first 2 games of the WS.  Will be interesting to see if they can handle the pressure of opening a series at home, much less the WS.

has anyone realized there are two major interesting points going on yet?

 

the first is that not only has it been 29 years since the royals were last in the post season, but that they won the world series that year. this leads into the 2nd point, which is that we could have a world series rematch because the royals beat the cardinals in '85.

 

there are some crazy statistical oddities that are in play.
