When was an Angel as universally disliked as Hamilton?

The fury at him and desire to get him off the team seems pretty close to unanimous and it's hard to remember a time where there's been that feeling to such an extent. I'm not sure Wells ever got there - plenty of people always talked about what a good guy he supposedly was and so on. In the past decade or so, has any Angel been so disliked? Hell, has it ever happened?

Ralston Schmidt after that incident with the mascots Clutch and Scoop in the parking lot getting into a ruckus with a group of nuns chaperoning a group of 2nd graders. The mascots were fired and Schmidt was traded to the Phillies to standing ovations when he punched out the phanatic during "Take me out to the ballgame."

Vernon Wells is the obvious answer. Hamilton is basically the carbon copy of him since coming here

Jose Guillen is a good answer to. After 2004, dude was straight up despised here...and the 2005 ncident while with the Nationals took it to another level

I think Wells and Guillen are the only two in the Scioscia era. Some of the others mentioned (Mathis, Finley) were mostly just seen as crap, overused players. Hamilton seems to be truly disliked by nearly everyone.

Personally I dislike CJ to a similar level. He was a douche before he came here, now he's a douche who's terrible at baseball. But that one isn't quite as universal.

Even though Hamilton has been a HUGE disappointment, I think people are pulling for him enough for what he is attempting to overcome in his personal life (and that is always ongoing) that he does not get booed as much as someone else would with the same performance...he gets a bit of a pass. (Disclaimer: I never boo Angel players anyway, as it certainly does nothing to help the situation and in fact could make it worse)
