IGNORED

Is Arte at least partially responsible for the beating?

The police issue is because they're more concerned with booze tickets before the game than anything else. It's a ghost town after.

I usually park on eckhoff and walk and it is quite dark in the lot after the game.

Of course I blame Moreno and his insistence on calling the team LA for these thug wanna be fans from Cerritos.

Time to buy a neck-worn flashlight or a full-size one with a skull crusher.

Don't forget your boot knife and ninja stars.

That or you walk with Red all the time.

@ocregister: Man beaten outside Angel Stadium is a former LAPD officer. http://t.co/rlVkyTCEU4

There you go.   Dick (cop) rule applies.   Cop probably rousted this guy years ago, was probably drunk at the game, and was probably mouthing off somewhere in the stadium.

Having made that complete asshole statement, I still do not believe this man should have ever been beaten.

Plenty of Anaheim PD out in the street directing traffic.

Before the game you'll sometimes see Anaheim PD patrolling in a squad car or on horses.  Not after the game though.

I suspect that will change soon.

This is shocking to me. I don't understand why APD wouldn't think after the game could be as (if not more) dangerous as before the game, especially considering alcohol is a part of the mix.

Maybe I'm used to going to games here in Denver, where there are police before and after games. Of course, that might be a function of where Coors Field is located...in Lower Downtown, surrounded by bars.
