We were 2 clutch hits away from being 2-0 in this series. The starting pitching was great. We choked. There's no other way to explain it.

We were 2 clutch hits away from being 2-0 in this series. The starting pitching was great. We choked. There's no other way to explain it.

 

Specifically the hitting with runners in scoring position has been an off and on again problem all year long.  The more they fixate on it, the more the pressure builds, then the more frustrating the situation becomes.  When things are more free flowing, we can score runs in bunches.  It's probably not this simple, but when hitters focus on results, instead of having great intense AB's, maybe that's where results suffer.
