Scioscia playing Hamilton is inexcusable

Recommended Posts

This is the only thing I give Sosh some leeway on.  With the alternatives being Navarro or Cowgill, it really seems like a roll of the dice with those two, especially if batting 7th.  You have to expect they're going to give the benefit of the doubt to the former MVP instead of two guys that had one or two great AB's all year.  To me it was an easy choice, pick Hamilton and just hope for the best, but for pete's sake, don't boo.  What good is that going to do?.

Except he did change this year during the regular season. Players had shorter leashes, they bunted less, they had fewer mental errors, they had fewer defensive errors and we had a pretty consistent line up. Those are all changes or signs of improvement during a much longer sample size. Like I said before I don't care if they change managers, but if you think this offensive drought is all on Scioscia you are only fooling yourself.

Why then did he change what worked during the season? Isn't that cause for admonishment from the FO?
