I'm guessing Arte is still paying Raul Ibanez that $2.75 million contract, right? Considering his ability to come up clutch in playoff games past, I'm glad we won't be seeing him. There would be too much chance of something ironic  happening if they brought him in to PH late in the game.

I'm surprised that they would go with Weaver on short rest, not usually a good idea unless we're down 2 games to 1 and there's no tomorrow.

yeah I'd be curious to see what would happen if we were up 2-1 going into game 4. I could see MS starting Santiago on a short leash, with Rasmus at the ready. Then if you lose that game, you've got Weaver on normal rest at home in game 5.

Players don't get paid in the playoffs, so technically the Angels aren't paying Ibañez any more.

Really think Mcdonald should have been on the roster.  I like seeing him come into games late to take over for Freese, his defense at third can help finish off games.

Also wanted to see Campana.  We dont have any legit speed guys or base stealers.  Campana should have been taken over Navarro, we already have an excess of 1B.

The one uncertainty with this roster is who DHs against RHP. I suspect Navarro, which is a rather scary thought. But it wouldn't surprise me to see Beckham start at 3B and Freese at DH in those games. Unless Cron heats up that's probably what I'd hope for. You don't lose anything offensively starting Beckham over Navarro, but you gain plenty defensively by getting Freese off the field.

And of course, the question then becomes why Navarro is on the roster if he's not the DH against RHP. Campana, McDonald or Green all would have been more useful.
