Biggest Concern Against KC

Recommended Posts

My biggest concern is that scioscia will become insanely jealous watching all the bunts that KC lays down and he will try to one up Yost by having Trout bunt over Calhoun.

I came to the board for this, and found it immediately.

Scioscia didn't need the new Viagra chick from the commercial last night.  He got hard seeing all those Yost sacrifice bunts.

Their 3 headed monster in the pen. Herrera, Davis & Holland have a combined 1.25 ERA. If the Angels don't have the lead going into the 7th, that could spell doom.

That won't matter. Your will use starters out of the bullpen in tight spots. He only uses Davis in the 8th if they're ahead. The guy is really stubborn with how each person has their own inning

Stolen bases, underdogs, grit, heart, speed, bunts....   Lot's of things that put pressure on the other team.  Not only do Ianetta and Conger need their A game, but Freese needs to be ready to crash and not air mail throws to Pujols.  Infield needs to be airtight.  Errors just feed teams like that.  And we all know this well.

That's what worries me the most. We can't count on comeback wins in a short series. The hitters need to show up beginning in the first inning.

Royals also don't have a lot of power and rely on hits and SB to score their runs. Mike Trout has more than a third of the HRs that the entire Royals roster had this year. They're the only team to hit less than 100 HRs as a team this year so their power is nonexistent.

Our defense is going to be key to winning this series.
