Gotham

IMO, the way Marvel treats it's property, and the way everyone else treats their property is the reason why you see Gotham the way it is.  With Marvel, and let's say Agents of Shield.  You can already sense that they are working towards an end goal.  And that marvel has a firm schedule that goes out till 2020 with solid dates just helps in developing a story that works in the MCU.  

 

Whereas DC, and all the other Marvel companies, they don't have a plan.  Sony seems to be going month by month with Spiderman.  Xmen we'll see with their reboot/bringing everything back together movie.  But up until then, their universe was all over the place.  And DC, for all it's saber rattling with Justice League, doesn't seem to have a concrete plan yet.  Heck, they are more interested in the Superman vs Batman, in which Batman seems to be rebooted yet again, than they are with a continuous universe.  

 

Gotham seems to be on it's own island in the DC universe.  Let's make a story about the formation of Gotham that sounds cool and will get ratings.  The show does not seem concerned with the DC Universe at all.

DC is smart in merging Arrow and Flash into the same universe but they're dumb for not including Gotham in the same universe. Also, recasting a new guy to play the movie Flash. That is insanely stupid. Flash is getting great reviews and Grant Gustin is nailing the roll yet DC won't give him a chance to do it on the big screen. Instead, they're having an origin story movie. DC has no idea what they're doing.

This is going to hurt Gotham.  Fish was one of the villains that helped the show, and was an interesting story line.

I'm actually excited for that news. I wasn't a fan of her story arc and thought she badly over acted the part. I think she was holding up a lot of the development of a lot of characters. She served her purpose but IMO that's over.
