IGNORED

Man who ran inside White House had 800 rounds of ammunition and machete in his car

Recommended Posts

He was arrested by Virginia police on July 19th with a sniper rifle and sawed off shotgun in his car, along with a map of Washington, D.C. with the White House circled.

Then on August 25th he was stopped outside the White House fence with a hatchet in his waistband.

WHY the hell wasn't he in custody?! Or locked up in a mental hospital?!

Now they're going to give him a bail hearing on October 1st. WTH?!?! Yeah, he's no danger, not at all.

The hearing is to revoke his bail from his previous arrest and also to hold him indefinitely in jail for this offense.

I would think he would have been held after the August 25th incident. That should have made alarm bells ring in the Secret Service.

At this point it seems he's just plain crazy and needs to be locked up for a good long time. And take his guns, ammo, and various knives and hatchets away.

"When police arrested Gonzalez on Saturday for jumping the White House perimeter fence and running into the White House through the North Portico, federal agents say he was armed with a folding knife with a 3-inch serrated blade."

i imagine there might one or two fewer secret service agents after this.

we've heard stories for years that there are agents poised around the perimeter of the fence so that as soon as there is any breach, they're right on the intruder. i wonder if the security protocols have changed. this guy never should have been able to get into the white house. that's a lot of lawn to cover, and someone should have been able to tackle him.

So he went from a rifle, to a hatchet, to a knife.  If he waited a few more weeks, he might have downgraded to a rock.

He made it far deeper into the White House than previously reported.

He ran past the guard inside the door, down the hallway past the half-flight of stairs leading to the first family's living quarters, then into the East Room. An alarm box near the front door had been muted at the request of the WH usher's office.

Some people need to be fired.
