Detroit Lions' linebacker Stephen Tulloch, who tore his ACL while doing a celebratory dance after a sack. Gone for the season.

 

He had never missed a game in his nine-year career.

A corollary to this is the "dumbest penalty of the year", to Anquan Boldin, who head-butted an opponent after making a catch that put the 49ers at the Arizona 5-yard line, first and goal and down by only six points. They eventually tried a long field goal attempt that was blocked, and Arizona drove for another TD.

 

Turned the whole game around.

I have never understood guys who strut 20 yards down the field and pound their chests after making a routine play. This just goes to show how ignorant it is.
