Josh Hamilton not seen or heard during celebration

Angel Stadium isn't too pitching friendly though.

The 2000 team hit 236 HRs overall, which iirc is top 10 all-time for single season team HRs.

This season so far, they are around 4th-5th in HRs hit.

You may want to take a minute to look at the actual indexes.   5th lowest run index, 6th lowest HR index not one league average index at all.   Angel Stadium is one of the most severe pitcher's parks in MLB.  FTR even the most pitcher friendly or hitter friendly park can have a season where the numbers are upside down.  Dodger Stadium and Wrigley are known for unpredictable seasons where the wind patterns impact the HRs and scoring in general.

I'm trying to imagine how he must feel to not be able to participate with his teammates... I feel bad for the guy.

who's to say he can't? He could just ask the guys to not pour beer on him...

I know a couple recovering addicts, and there would be times they would come with me to a party...and it wasn't a martinelli's type of party. Dudes would be drinking like fish, and the whole time my friend would be completely sober and have no problem at all being around alcohol.

obviously josh is his own person and not everyone is the same, but you have to wonder how stable he is with his sobriety if he can't even be in the vicinity of alcohol

I think the bottom line is that each person may handle these issues differently.  It's silly to compare Josh to anyone else (or anyone else to anyone else) when it comes to these things.

As long as his team mates are good with him and he with them, then I don't care what he does or doesn't do.

I went to a party where there were a lot of drunks, and my sober friend didn't seem to mind.  What the hell is wrong with Hamilton??!?

Not all addicts are like that I know quite a few myself and some of them would rather not even subject themselves to those types of parties, some people have different triggers. As long as Hamilton stays sober I don't really care how the Angels party or what he does or does not participate in with them.

You claimed the park isn't that bad for power hitters.  In reality it's the 5th hardest park to hit HRs in.    BTW, Coors is 415 to dead center, the power alleys are 390 and 375, the foul lines are 347 and 350.

Right so youre telling me Fenway Park is also bad for power hitters.  Its worse than Angel Stadium going off that link you posted.  I guess Arlington isnt that great either, its 16th.  Dodger Stadium is a hitters park?  I didnt know that.  Safeco is great for power hitters.  Its easier to hit home runs in Oakland than it is in Baltimore.

Like I said is there a reason you posted that link?

You are absolutely right. Going off of one year's numbers doesn't tell a complete story. Check out this site:

Play around with it and look at how the numbers average out. You'll see that Amgel Stadium is very unkind to LH power hitters. It's not a one year, down offense type thing.
