Pestano not only is making a bid to make it, but to maybe pass Grilli in the hierarchy in the pen. Grilli is not inspiring me.

In fact, Magnificent Seven references are immediately SUSPENDED after tonight's disgrace!

 

Take it easy, AO. Every team has a game like this at some point. Better now than in October. A one-night bullpen meltdown is no big deal.

I blame it on the heat.

 

And just WHEN is this damn heat going to end?! I see 95 predicted as today's high once again. That's six straight days now!!

regardless of his poor performance this year..he is still a threat at the plate..he has a presence 

 

He has a lazy, loopy swing that doesn't come within two feet of most pitches thrown to him.

 

The opposing pitchers can't wait for his presence at the plate.

I hear ya on the heat.

Does Mother Nature understand that autumn is just 3 days away?   And that average highs this time of the year are low 80s? 

Seems like it's been in the 90s and 100s for almost the entire month so far!
