If they drop the hammer on Seattle this week, that increases the chance of having to deal with Oakland or Detroit in the playoffs.  I don't think they want that?

I don't think this team gives a ****, not one, concerning who they face in the playoffs. They are not going to tank games trying to change the Wildcard order, they can beat any team on any field.

I'd be ok with getting Detroit...their pitching staff is pretty sub par once you get past price and scherzer. Their bullpen is a mess, anibal Sanchez is hurt, verlander is declining, and their defense is pretty awful. Rookie manager, too.
