Baltimore is going to be tough to beat in a 7 game series. Jesus they can smack the ball around.

Not really.  They have 3 good hitters, Jones Cruz and Pearce.  Jones has a .779 OPS, Pearce has a .934 OPS in 330 at bats, hes somehow come out of nowhere and hes never had more than 200 at bats in a single season other than this year in his 7 year career.  Cruz is a known roider and a feared hitter, but hes cooled off a ton in the 2nd half with a .789 OPS.

 

The rest of their lineup is garbage.

 I want to see Oakland end the season in a tie for the second wild card and have to travel to Seattle to play a game 163. If we win Friday (and only Friday) Texas would have to sweep to make that a reality.

Only a losing loser would assume that we lose the last 2 if the regulars don't play.

And they've also owned our ass the past two season, IIRC. This season, for sure. Acting like they're not really gonna be hard to beat is silly. They're in the position they are in for a reason.

Magic number is 1, so all they need to do is lose. We win or they lose, and we clinch it.

I want the Angels to sweep the M's for a few reasons:

 

1) Best Franchise Record: 101 - 61

 

2) A sweep would give them a good karmic cleanse of the season home opening series

 

3) After we eliminate the M's form the playoffs on game 1, it means that our B-Squad squashed their souls in games 2 and 3, and left Safeco Field barren, empty, and soulless like it should be.
