Hamilton Status??

I only have one complaint with Hamilton and it's not his fault.  It's MS stupidity in batting him 4th and putting a huge hole in he middle of the lineup.

Similarly, I had nothing against Raul Ibanez and would have been OK with him being used as a spot pinch hitter here or there but games where he started at cleanup were absolutely brutal.

Wow.  Absolutely no love for the man whose bat kept us alive in April and gave us a chance at catching the A's.  I hope for a quick and speedy return.

Hamilton played in only 8 games to start the season. The Angels were 3-5 during that stretch. With out him they went 11-8 for the rest of the month.

Yes he is the whipping boy because he's hurt, pretty stupid, but expected. Save your bitching about his performance for when he's playing. If you want to bitch about him being hurt, go ahead, it's the classy thing to do.

He wasn't hurt in 2013 except for a few sinus infections and a couple of 'clear his head' days.

2012 Texas .285 / 43hrs / 128rbi's / .931ops

2013 Angels .250 / 21hr's / 79rbi's / .739ops

He has earned the whipping boy status.

He's not the player he used to be. We all know that. That's not the question. The question is if he should get starts against right handed pitchers in the playoffs. Some think he should, some think he shouldn't. I see both sides of the argument and I definitely see why most (myself included) don't want him hitting cleanup. He'll play if he's healthy though

How does a player go from 2012 (Superstar) to 2013 (Pathetic) as "He's not the player he used to be"? Was there something that we weren't aware of? I'm not buying that he declined that fast.

No clue. It boggles my mind as much as yours. But it is what it is and we just have to hope he can be decent the next 3 years because no one will take that contract in a million years

Unless Reagins is hired as a GM somewhere, the best you could do is a bad contract for bad contract trade...BJ Upton, Edwin Jackson...

He seems to have some ailment every day of the season so your statement is a blanket amnesty.

Except this thread wasn't about his performance.  It was a thread trying to find out his status going forward.  Instead we get the usual suspects of the zombie horde lodging complaints about his play.   A bunch of Raymond Babbits who can't stay on task.
