Move Iannetta to clean-up

Plain and simple. Bat the guy who's actually hitting home runs in the clean up spot. He's also shown to have the ability to work counts. At the very least, switch Iannetta and Trumbo or put Iannetta at the #2. The more at-bats that Iannetta gets, the better.

No.  As much as our current 3-4-5 suck right now you have to stick with them a little longer and give them a chance to get it together.  Well, perhaps except for the 5.  I wouldn't mind seeing Ianetta there.

1. Ianneta C

2. Aybar SS

3. Trout LF

4. Pujols DH

5. Hamilton RF

6. Trumbo 1b

7. Kendrick 2b

8. Callaspo 3b

9. Bourjos CF

I wouldn't either, but Scioscia is going to stick with the current lineup for a majority of the season methinks.

As I mentioned elsewhere on the forum, I don't see any reason to keep Trumbo where he is.  We know Pujols isn't moving, but push Howie and Ianetta so they get more ABs.

I wouldn't mind seeing Iannetta move up closer in the batting order but it's still too early to give up on the planned offense.

I would keep the same lineup for awhile, but move Trumbo down a spot or two immediately.

Yeah, Trumbo needs to go down in the order. He's been looking terrible since last August.

We have a lot more established players now that can play their positions and bat every day. Last year there were a lot of players Skip wanted to get in the lineup every couple days. The various lineup configurations really aren't necessary anymore.

I wouldn't start messing around with the cleanup spot at this point, but I would be totally okay with Iannetta moving up in the order.

 

That's not entirely because of his hot start though, I've been in favor of giving him a look somewhere besides the bottom of the lineup before this.
