Kind of disappointing. I was expecting a member of the wealthy elite or a cop.

Still, it's amazing that modern technology can conclusively solve a string of murders that happened so long ago.

Not so sure they conclusively solved all of the murders. They have the guy's DNA tied to a prostitute. How many other people's DNA were tied into that shawl that weren't on a suspects list? If they can find one more victim with matching DNA traces then you would be safe to assume they have the killer.

 

Elizabeth Stride was a second victim in the same night, if the body still exists a DNA sample could be taken. She was buried in in a public cemetery with the expenses provided by the local Parrish so it is doubtful there was much more than a cheap box. It has probably long since rotted away along with the body.
