Story on the Traveler's site mentioned they signed some guy to replace him on their roster.

Pure stupidity.  Complete inability to see the larger picture.  Regardless of your beliefs on the legality of weed, you gotta be seven different degrees of stupid if you get busted multiple times because you can't put the freakin' bong down as a sacrifice for being paid to play professional baseball for a living.  

 

You won't find any sympathy here for Ramirez.  He was one decent season away from challenging on a major league roster and fulfilling what most likely is his life's dream.  Instead he chose marijuana, for the second time, even after being busted.  The Angels will likely release him after this, and honestly, I don't blame them.  He needs to get his head on straight before he makes a go of it, because news flash, he might be a talented athlete, but he's not so talented that anyone will bend the rules just for him.

When the suspension is up, the Angels will release him. I think we will see this as standard operating procedure for the organization in handling offenders.

Really?  The dude has never played anywhere near a full season, and has been wildly inconsistent even when he has been on the field.

Being in AA and having a good reputation as a strong defensive catcher.  If he had a good season at AA this season he definitely could have challenged for a spot.
