I heard two days ago the Angels were in discussions about Cahill, and then nothing.  There haven't been any truly notable minor league absences for the past couple of days so I'm guessing no deal was made.  I'm guessing it's still going to be Michael Roth.

 

Outrighting DDLR may just mean the angels intend to add someone else onto the 40-man and bring them up once rosters expand.  My best guess would be Jairo Diaz.

Santiago told Lodge (yes, shoot me, I was just listening to old Rog on pregame) that he would be willing to pitch tomorrow, even if it was only 3 innings with 3 to Rasmus

Just use some reliever and then hope he, Rasmus and Salas can go 2 innings each before they get to Jepsen/Morin/Grilli/Smith/Street

 

then when rosters expand, call up a ton of these guys and do the same stuff for the last 5 or whatever starts remain.
