Finally got a win! He's been a stud for us down the stretch.

Amazing what a little run support can do

run support, IMO, almost fixes our pitching issues. Obviously not the 5th starter part, but the gap between our rotation and the top tiered ones who are slightly better is almost evened out of we actually start hitting like we can

He's pretty cool.

Gets lost in the shuffle with the emergences of GRich and Shoe.

But since July, he has been nails.

He's getting closer to the number of innings he should be pitching on average.

Last night's pitch count wasn't bad (93?) for 5 2/3 innings. But Jepsen vs Ozuna representing the tying run was the right move.

Both, the next 3 batters are all righty and Sosh usually pulls him around 90 pitches.

Velocity is only one component of pitching.  Pitch location, pitch sequence, velocity modulation and location modulation also contribute to effective pitching.

 

Santiago has performed very well because of a combination of factors and not exclusively on velocity.

 

Me no worry.  I am comfortable with Hector in a 1 game showdown.
