Gets lost in the shuffle with the emergences of GRich and Shoe.

But since July, he has been nails.

He's getting closer to the number of innings he should be pitching on average.

Last night's pitch count wasn't bad (93?) for 5 2/3 innings. But Jepsen vs Ozuna representing the tying run was the right move.

Velocity is only one component of pitching.  Pitch location, pitch sequence, velocity modulation and location modulation also contribute to effective pitching.

 

Santiago has performed very well because of a combination of factors and not exclusively on velocity.

 

Me no worry.  I am comfortable with Hector in a 1 game showdown.
