These brown cobras are all over the place in the mountains near the Red Sea. Found one about 18" long in my back yard a few years back and since my then 7 year old and her friends played there it had to go. I hacked it in two about 3 inches below the hood and the little bastard bowed its chopped off head up and opened its hood and its mouth to try to bite. So then I smashed it with a big rock and hacked the body into a few more pieces but I give it its props for battling to the bitter end. I did not, however, try to cook it.
