We have to beat the A's someday

Relax. There will be no trophy presentation tonight. We have 35 games left in the season and tonight's game is just one of them. The A's could sweep us and then lose 2 out of 3 to the Astros with those wonderful failed pitchers they've acquired while we smash the Marlins. That's baseball.

When did Hamiltown become the voice of reason on this board? ;)

It does seem like it's their turn to have trouble with Houston - another reason I don't pay any attention to strength of schedule going down the stretch, especially in baseball. Anybody can beat anybody else on a given night.

I doubt that anyone looked at the schedule at the beginning of the season and believed that we would be a blown save away from being 7-0 after three games at Texas and four at Boston.

All this stuff is going to come down to the last week of the season. We could win one game in Oakland this weekend and still have control of the situation. Watch out for Seattle who's climbing up the ladder.
