He gave up 7 hits and 2 walks in 5 IP.

 

Both walks came after the error that shouldve ended the innings and he got hit in the hand. Had that been turned his pitch count wouldnt have been so high and probably been pitching the sixth.

Only a few of those 7 hits were hard hit.

Like i said, couldve easily gone differently

We're not going to win this division by beating Oakland. Just have to keep beating teams that aren't Oakland, hope the A's lose enough games against other teams, and that somebody takes them out in the wild-card play-in.

Actually, beating them would help considerably in winning the division.

Losing 70% of the games vs the A's would help them considerably in winning the division.
