The piece! Rotation problems solved!

63 complete games for the Brown Stockings, 45 wins, 1.23 ERA, 16 shutouts, 573 innings pitched.

Threw the first official no-hitter in baseball history. He even has a Facebook page.

Only problem is, he died in 1931.

Can we just straight up swap our pitching staff for this one?

Interesting tidbit: I had thought 1906 was part of the era of the 3 man rotation?

Turns out that the most starts made by any starter in that rotation was 32 (Three Finger Brown).

SIX starters made at least 14 starts.

I then look up other teams, and sure enough the 3 man rotation wasn't ingrained for everyone.

But completing games was.    The majority of pitchers averaged between 8-9 innings per start.
