Six wins out of seven in the past week, the only loss being a blown save. Yeah the pitching looks a little dodgy at times (Weaver and Wilson especially), Hamilton still sucks and the offense more broadly is still struggling to score. But if we take even just one of the next two against the Sux, we'll be in a great position heading into the Oakland series.

 

And if we're getting it done now, just wait until Trout starts being Trout again.

Good teams win games like the ones we've won recently (close nitty gritty games). If we ended up winning that blown game on Sunday, we'd be singing a different i tune right now with a 2 game lead.

agreed. Ill take 2-1 wins the same as 10-1 wins...but im still a little uncomfortable with our strength (offense) being so quiet over a months span...

We're 4-1 on this road trip and have taken the first two games in Boston, a place that has been less than friendly to us over the years. I would like to be scoring more runs, but I'll take the Ws.

The offense doesn't even have to improve too much. As far as I can remember, we were only one clutch hit away from blowing games open. Someone just needs to get that clutch hit and everyone will breathe easier. Hopefully Iannettas hit in the ninth was that "Clutch" hit!!

I have a feeling the offense will keep struggling until Trout catches fire again.

He's pretty much the one that has carried the offense for almost 3 years and when he struggles the team's offense tanks.
