I doubt they will trade Beltre. Gallo isn't ready still and it would seem prudent for the Rangers to hold onto him for at least one more season. Andrus on the other hand seems like a more likely trade candidate considering that they have Profar who could replace him and Odor who could replace Profar. The Mets have been dying for a reasonable SS and Andrus is probably a target for them along with Castro of the Cubs.

I understand about Yu.....But, that contract isn't that BAD for a 1-B starter....Six-year, $56 million deal in 2012.

 

2014: $10 million

2015: $10 million

2016: $10 million

2017: $11 million

In what world is Darvish a 1-B starter? Dude is an ace.

I'd be fine with them parting with Andrus as a salary dump, but they shouldn't trade Beltre unless they're getting a Joc Pederson or Corey Seager type in return.

Perez won't even be back until 2016, Harrison's career is probably over, and Fielder's recovery isn't guaranteed. Finding 3 starters and an impact bat would be a fool's errand. They have players who can contribute in 2016 and beyond but they're probably screwed next year.

how do those guys clear waivers? i don't care if darvish is out for all of next year. you're stealing darvish at that salary. beltre is a monster, offensively and defensively. also, stranger things have happened, but i just don't see texas trading with the angels. i think the texas fans would burn arlington to the ground if they traded either one of those guys to the angels. although, one can dream.
