Scioscia Calls Out Hamilton?

I would have no problem watching Hamilton hit 4th for the Sacramento Bees for a couple of weeks. He needs to clear his head for a while and moving him down the order won't do that. He needs to get away.

I'm not sure we can even send him down to AAA, unless it's for a rehab stint. Can anyone clarify that?

I can clarify that it would be impossible to send him down to the sacramento bees.

That and it not only isn't an affiliate of the Angels, I don't think it's a baseball team.

Well I really meant Salt Lake but they wouldn't consider that either. It's a waste of brain cells trying to figure out what happened to Josh Hamilton. His train left the station and it's not coming back.

Conspiracy Theory Alert!!!

Vernon Wells was acquired by Reagins and endorsed by Scioscia.  Hamilton was acquired by Dipoto regardless of Scioscia's input.  Vernon Wells performed about the same as Hamilton.  Scioscia seemed to be more willing to move Wells in the line up and sit him than he is with Hamilton.

Scioscia is making a passive aggressive statement to Dipoto regarding the acquisition of free agents.

Have at it.

Hamilton needs someone to take a 2x4 and knock some freakin' sense into him. Lacking confidence is an understatement.

His performance the entire time he's been here has been pathetic. And his lax attitude does not fit in with the dynamic we're looking for on this team.

Can't stand the guy or his playing. And the striking out 7 times in 2 games, well, at this point he's really only embarrassing himself.

...and I don't recall anyone here wanting to give Hunter a multi-year contract

I think that'd been different if we would have known what the alternative was going to be, and for how much.

if one takes the time to actually read the interview/article you will find that he's not "calling hamilton out".  He's just stating a fact that he has not been the same dangerous bat that he once was with the Rangers.  He thinks its a confidence thing.  I don't see anything unusual with this.
