Uh I don't think the Angels could claim they grabbed first place in 2002. Not until they beat the Twins in the ALCS.

Ever since we won tonight all I keep hearing in my head is Rory Markas saying "The Angels have grabbed first place!!!" like he did back in 2002.

I'm very proud of this team. Our GM came through this time and assembled an incredible bullpen and great SP rotation—Jerry is among the best GMs in baseball.

I'm glad that the team is in 1st, but they aren't even playing their best and I'm sure that has the A's worried. I knew that trade with Boston would be bad news for them.

I'm betting that the Halos return to their pre-ASB form soon.
