With all this talk about how bad we've been since the AS Break..

Oakland has been even worse. We were 1.5 games out when the AS break ended and we're only 1 game back now. That means Oakland has been a 1/2 game worse than us since then -- yet in our little world the sky has been falling lol.

 

Lets also take into consideration the competition that we've faced compared to theirs. Playoff/wildcard contenders vs bottom feeders -- and the tide has finally turned starting..well it already started this week with our series against the Phillies/Rangers and their series against the Royals/Braves.

 

We could be tied for first place by the end of this weekend, and we could be well ahead in first place after our series against the Red Sox next week. After that we'll have arguably the most crucial series of the season yet, a 3 game set against the A's next weekend.

 

We're still a major playoff contender, all we need is our bats to come alive again.

Other team's records notwithstanding, bad baseball blows and the Angels have played some bad baseball since the break. Not all games but enough to make you want to kick your neighbor's puppy. That said, I'm pre-ordering my WS champ cap and t shirt tomorrow.

I feel like our hitters are going to tee off on their pitchers in that park. Trout/Pujols/Hamilton have to come alive at some point.
