Delighted to be proved wrong. CJ was a little shaky at times but resilient. And our hitters finally woke up. I was at the game and the place was rocking. Great game! Loved Cowgill's at-bat. Hacking away, but he finally came through. Of course, Marlon Byrd helped! And Freese...huge hit.

Trout striking out twice in that 7-run inning was weird, though.

Wasn't there a game recently when Trout also made two outs in the same inning?

 

July 5th, vs Houston. Trout made the second and third outs in the 8-run 7th inning.

Trout sucks balls right now. He has a Hamilton plate approach going on and it's a bit worrisome.

Epic to see Byrd melt down on defense in the 6th (misjudged FB, and bad throw on single producing 6th run to set up 7th run)!

 

He was one of those Rangers' players who loved to rub it in to the Halos. 

Now he probably feels like he needs to rub one out to forget that inning.

I've figured out the reason the Angels have been slumping, and this win was proof.

 

The Mike Trout Gnome I got was cursing the team.  I had it on display since the day after that game.  On a superstitious crazed fanatic whim, I packed it back up in it's box on Sunday, after the loss.  I feel it's no coincidence that they scored 7 runs last night.
